Contemporary Dancers Are Most Creative Than Others Forms Of Dance
In findings that may incite a controversy among dancers and their fans, a new research has claimed that modern and contemporary dancers are the most creative than those who practice other forms of dance.
Scientists in Austria who examined the creativity levels of 60 professional dancers found that modern-contemporary dancers have the highest levels of verbal and image-based creativity, while ballet dancers possess the least.
For the study, published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, the researchers studied general mental ability in terms of word and sentence comparisons, analysis of geometrical figures and the like, as well as personality traits such as how outgoing or motivated they were.
