EGoM to meet today to take final decision on LPG price hike


An empowered group of ministers (EGoM) may decide measures to curb fuel subsidy on LPG Cylinders during the meeting scheduled today.
 It will be a huge burden on middle income households as they will have to shell out more for petrol and cooking gas.
While inflation is already high at around ten percent these measures will further push up prices of essential commodities.
It seems a common man is stuck in a quagmire as the prices go up RBI tend to stymie it by raising interest rates resulting in higher EMIs for Home or Car loan.
 Todya's EGoM meeting will be presided by union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee.  A decision on capping the number of subsidised LPG cylinders to households is also likely.
