Opposition, UPA criticised the govt over the hike in petrol prices
Apart from the Opposition, UPA allies on Friday (September 16) criticised the government over the increase in petrol prices saying that they were not consulted before this move was taken. Key Congress allies - Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) - have expressed their reservation about increasing LPG price.
"We will do everything to ensure a roll back in the petrol prices. We were not informed about the price rise. We got to know only from the media. We have just now come to know that the EGoM is being rescheduled and it is not today. We were keen to attend the EGOM and register our protest today,"said TMC MP and Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi.
"Mamata Banerjee is a responsible leader and will not do anything drastic but we will seek a roll back. Alliance will not be affected. We are concerned about the for more details....
