Attack near UN guest house kills 4 in Afghanistan
A suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a checkpoint in a neighborhood housing United Nations and international aid groups'offices and guest houses in the southern city of Kandahar early today, killing four people including an Afghan policeman, Afghan officials said.
Security forces were exchanging fire with armed insurgents who rushed into the area and seized control of a building, Kandahar police chief Gen Abdul Razzaq said.
